Here is a video of us playing last Saturday on the patio of a Mansion that is right next to Red Rocks Amphitheater (Colorado). I am playing the piano (Original composition. It still needs vocals).
Nice little fusion. Would have been nice to see a bass player. Overall nice composition for sure, not so sure about the guitar players parts though sounds like wasn't tuned or at least the guitar is of a bit. Has a few Dream Theater like vibes to it in terms of the keyboard.
Thanks Kidsko. Yeah, the guitar was a bit out of tune. We actually just found a bassist that we are going to start working with. As far as Dream Theatrer, I have never heard much of them. I will have to check it out.
Overall good performance though. I enjoy the fusion aspect of any type of music, seems like your drummer and you were pretty tight though.
Hi guys. I just set up a myspace for our band. Let me know if you dig the header logo I threw together. I am working on the rest of the design, but here it is for now: myspace.com/thetouchrocks Also, we are going to put up some recordings tonight so you can hear our other work if you are interested.
Thanks guys. There will be new material soon. I just upgraded my equipment in many ways. I will add a new video soon,...hopefully with some vocals.
Never heard of Dream Theater? What? Dream Theater is awesome, their musicianship is phenomenal. The guitarist and drummer are in the Hall of Fame. The drummer is the second youngest to be inducted at 37 behind Neil Peart at 31. Not to mention he still holds the title for Best Progressive Rock Drummer for 12 years consecutively and also having 26 awards. They are also music theorist who met at Berklee College. Definitely worth checking out As far as your band goes it's pretty good except for the guitarist. Doesn't flow with the sound because of a tuning problem as stated above. It does sound like it has some DT and Trans Siberian Orchestra to it. I do like the keyboard as well because of the previous sentence. Keep it up and hope to hear a bassist soon
Thanks a bunch ethikz. I'm gonna' listen to some Dream Theater tonight and see what they are all about. I think I heard a bit of them years ago, but can't really remember what they are like.
