You're linking to Wikipedia. Strike one. -Wikipedia- says that the article's neutrality is in doubt. Strike two. Wikipedia says that the facts in the article are not necessarily accurate. Strike three. I'm afraid I'm not going to go any further in reading about it.

Dude...didn't you read about the part where Turkey denies it even happened?

The truth is being to be covered up.

What would change if the turks recognize the genocide??? Absolutely nothing.
Yes, the crime happened. But there is nothing that can be done right now to bring back those people. Even if the turks apologize, the pain would be still there.
Maybe it's about time to move on.

Pride. Nationalism. Not wanting to be seen in a negative light. Not having to be forced to pay reparations, etc...

They don't recognize it because they will have to give back our land and pay billions in compensation.

The part about 'still being in pain' is partially true, but if our genocide is recognized we can finally grieve for the last time, put it behind us and have peace.

Do you really expect us to just sit around and let people get away with killing 1.5 million of our people? What kind of justice is that?

A crime unpunished is a crime encouraged.

Please spare us with the holocaust. This is not the topic of this thread.
By the way, during WWII, the turks saved countless of jews.

But, he is asking you in a way to admit the turks did something wrong. I'm simply explaining to him that there isn't much evidence the turks did this. So his chances of you signing this petition are very low.

And I am saying that the turks won't admit they did something wrong because they are very nationalistic. And even if they did, it would not change a thing. It happened. And whether or not they admit, it would not change a thing.

So... part of why you want us to sign the petition is so you can get stuff?

You should get over things, you can't live with a lie and hate forever.

Plus, if you are interested in these, make a campaign for the genocide from Armenians towards Azerbaijanis some time, will ya

This is the deal, we don't owe you nothing, if you want something, you come and get it, whining on lies does not give you anything.

I'll sign your petition if you promise to give 1 million dollars from the compensation money. Deal?

Maybe it's about time to move on from Israel.

Only for muslims though, not Jews, right?

muslims actually accompanied Nazis to help them pick out Jews for execution.

    Like getting over Israel?

Same with Israel. Their lands were stolen from them, they took them back. Now if we can just get the virgin seekers off the last little bit of renamed land called "palestine," things would be back to normal.

Man do you know anything about what you are talking about?

What lands are you referring as stolen, do you know anything about borders in those times? Do you know where those people lived? Do you know who attacked who?

Okay you want to appear in every topic with the authority attitude but when you talk about something you know nothing about, it really looks funny. Besides, US is the last to talk about these stuff, your history is like a black hole when it comes to human crimes, duh!

I was pointing out your hypocrisy. And you just confirmed it.

Israel was Israel before islam was invented.

Let's see, how did you put it when it was muslims stealing (throughout history) other's lands? Ah, yes..."get over it."
