Suggestion Let Everyone Like Posts For A Limited Time

I think you're being a bit harsh here. This is the internet and this happens. I got called "a jerk" a few days ago yet I would not call for that member to be banned.
Some members prefer to add color to their comments, that has to do with personality and writing style. If someone hurts your feelings just by the usage of colorful language, then perhaps the internet is not for you?

The internet is for me thank you very much, it's for those that have something useful to say. On the other hand, meaningless abuse and foul language does not have a place on the internet. Even if it does occur, it doesn't mean that it should be tolerated by those that wish to use the internet for more productive means. Since when was it necessary to use a forum such as this one just for the purpose of throwing insults? Swearing and insulting are the tools of people who lose arguments, have nothing intelligent to say and who are of a much lower level of wit than those that use reasoned arguments to make a point.

 

I d rather get a GFY online than in the street by a 10 years old boy, at least, online I don't really know much about the person who says that. Anway it's bit funny, in 2013, nealy 90% of the population swear and uses foul language, so where should they use it? in their bed? alone in the dark? wake up mate.

 

Too late as it's littered with it, mate. The Internet is a cesspool of vulgarities, porn, religion, violent TV shows and films (even can be legitimately streamed), crap websites, spam and political bullshit.

yes it is indeed littered with it, I don't disagree with you, though fortunately google still works well enough to allow us to vaguely search for what we are looking for when we actually do want decent information. It's just a shame there are many realy gems of websites hidden on page 15 of google searches

 

Maybe a problem with your choice of keywords, as I never experienced that problem (and I wasn't talking about Google, but the Internet; Google isn't the Internet).

Like already said, that system would have to many exploits, and it wouldn't be fair to new users how join DP after that "promo time"
I guess this way, marketplace isn't full of crap and people try to read the rules, which I am myself annoyed when they don't, and post useless comments.
But again, trying to get these likes, people spam useless comments on other parts of the forum.

 

I'll let people into a secret into getting likes, post useful and relevant replies/threads and the likes will start coming in. I've been here just over two weeks and already got 6 likes and 1 best answer.
