Lessons learned for backlinking my first large domain project.

Sound advice indeed, and once you hit on that golden tactic of finding the right article, content, and site, you can only go on from there

 

Just out of curious, I use Market Samurai to check backlinks of your website, it has 404 backlinks, not what you said "less than 100 backlinks". Good for you!

this topic is very very interesting.. im gonna be here for more.. now heres my question.. i have a genral web directory(see signature).. i've a pr1 now.. i want to promote it now and try to make money out of it.. im using a simple layout, fast and easy loading.. no ads, no spam... i get about between 60 to 150 submissions per day, but im acception non cuz i put a price on submission, makes my life easy for now.. initialy, i was accepting prob 5% of all that...
i've now started to write articles, now only with ezine and articlesbase.. my articles are about anything, photography, computers and so on...and my backlink is only from the anchor text in the end which says my name and my directory...
now is that really useful??? or what direction should i go in.. !?
