Lessons I've Learned From My First Successful Foray Into Affiliate Marketing

I'm actually up to over 16K hits from 11K UV now - links from VERY big sites have trickled in, and it's because of one thing: free, valuable, content. If you put in the hours, you get Google karma via natural links. I've been promoting products aggressively, but I'm actually going to back off and focus on new content creation.

I'd like more repeat visitors, but I'm on the first page of Google for dozens of good search terms (best price on..., product x vs product y, product x review) so I really can't complain.

Amazon earnings for this blog specifically are up to $78.45, with more money coming from orders that haven't shipped yet, and I'm getting knocked up into a new tier because of my niche book site. It's getting to the point where I can't wait to check my numbers from Amazon in the morning.

Here are the stats, note that week 17 only includes the last two days:

Don't count on one site to make you money. Different product areas will have hot items at different times, and diversity smooths out your earnings. Plus, the more items you sell, the faster you get into higher commission tiers."


thats right, i am use it too. but i just started amazone affiliate 2 weeks ago... so pray for me to get the best one...
