If you have an extra time today, please have a look at my site - LessonInLife.com and maybe review it for me to further improve the blog

I am looking advice in particular on
1) Content
2) The overall design

It is my goal currently to increase the number of subscribers, so a general question to you - With that level of content, would you think about subscribing?

I like the content, and the design is good. For some reason the header did take the longest time to load though. Overall, nice site.

 

Ohmer - thank you for the feedback. I noticed that too, I realiized it behaving that way since I updated my wordpress. any idea how to rectify?

I had a good look at your website and read a few blogs as well.

The design part is ok. It is a simple, clean design with no unnecessary stuffs. The color combination, layout everything is fine.

But, I wasn't satisfied with the contents.
The topics that you have chosen are worth mentioning. But, the amount (quantity) is less.
I feel something like this :: we start reading the blog ... by the time when we get ourselves deeply involved in it ... it ends.... so it fails to leave a mark.

Try to add up more content with your future blogs. At the same time don't try to add too much and make it over-dozed as well.

But, I must definitely appreciate the quality of those blogs. Those blogs were worth reading more than once.

I must not have any hesitation in becoming a member. Bookmarked your site.

 

Rajesh1811 - Thank you for visiting and for the constructive feedback. But I'm not very sure what you meant by that. Currently I am posting very consistently at 1 post per day. Do you think I should post more?

Or, maybe you are referring to some entries that may have no conclusion? If it is not too much trouble, care to elaborate more on this, perhaps highlighting which entries are you referring to..

Hey banji, I your blog design is pretty good, although I think you should place the category widget more at the top of the blog. Also you should try to add some 125x125 spaces for private advertising...

About the content, this is good, it's nice for reading. I like the idea of placing a personal note at the end of each post. Keep improving!

 

Nice domain..you picked a catchy domain. Good work for the topics!

 

Mr Javo dot Com - your suggestion on the category widget is noted. However I prefer to have my recent post there since I posted daily, so visitors can straight away see what they miss.

About the private advertising, thanx... ill be working on it real soon. Anybody want to advertise?

I did try to open your blog, took up to 7 seconds to see the content, I had to refresh once. I think you should move to a better server, recommend you try HostGator.com
Content looks fine, design too.

i visited your site. It has a good contents in it with the images. keep it up and overall layout is also good but you can put more attractive templates.

 

netx - took 7 seconds? Can anyone else confirm that, because it only loads less than 3 seconds for me. Anyway, thanx for the heads up. I will look into it

I like your blog alot, I think content is fine especially the article on sleep patterns, I enjoyed that!
The page loads quickly and I think the layout is good

Nice clean blog, spoilt a bit with the chat box but that's your choice

 

I like the right hand side of the blog - the posts individually separated -
great for my eyes.

The font on the left hand side, though - hmmm. It seemed to squished or too
close to the Recently Written section. Perhaps an additional space between
each paragraph in the posts would help. Just my two cents.

kazzikoo - I also enjoyed that piece. But to tell you the truth, I never actually believe in associating behavior with anything. Personally, I think everyone believe what they want to believe. I actually did an experiment to prove just that. And the Sleeping Pattern article is actually meant to highlight that.

I would just like to add something to this thread. I think the design as well as content is good.
What I would add is a slogan?? I think the domain name itself won't explain what your site is about initially.
Having a catchy slogan and logo will help BRAND you.
