will putting just 2 ad blocks on a page will generate more revenue from adsense compare to placing 3 ads where the 3 ad block (lower) hardly gets 1%-2% CTR from adsense. Will my EPC increase for those two ad blocks!

    please help me out!

it depends on the keyword targeted by your pages.

Iits all depends on the keywords. Lesser ads or more ads does not matter.

Look at it this way. The less ads you have on your page, the more higher Per Click ads will appear, thus increasing the revenue.

I tried it and it works.

I've got to agree with azizny.

Quality rather than quantity and think carefully about placement

Placement is always important than number. So please concentrate on quality of your page.

The only real factor that sets the price of the advertisement is the conversion rate. Placing more ads will only affect the CTR which is absolutely no effect on the amount of money you get per click.

I'd suggest removing the 3rd placement, and using another ad network there. There are several other networks out there, you should certainly be able to earn more than $0 from that spot.

So far, as long as one of my pages was big enough so 3 ads was not overwhelming to the eye, going with less ads never increased revenue.

I go with 2 ads if the page is shorter.

The theory about less ads meaning higher pay per click, sort of conflicts with the fact that more ad blocks means more choices to catch someone's attention.

Suppose you run two blocks on a home improvement page and all that appears are tool ads?

What if some viewers don't want tools, and the potential 3rd block would have displayed light fixtures which would be their interest?

Experimenting seems like the way to go.

Sometimes a page of mine is related to what the people were searching for, but not exactly what they wanted. Then the top ads seem important.

If it's information they are really going to read in depth, they will focus all the way to the end - that's when the last ads seem to matter more.

I think people started to drop adsense ads one by one... Today they will avoid one ad slot, another day they will drop another slot, then drop another.... finally?

Its doesn't matters how much ad blocks do you put on website, it matter about keywords on web page.
