Any suggestions on a program to show ads other than the top know ones ie. adwords, adcenter.. I'm ok with the fact that the search volume might not be there, but I'll take that trade for a lower cpc.

Most of the second tier engines are horrible.......the quality of traffic is horrific....some use traffic swapping sites......

Like anything in life you pay for quality......

That is not correct. With most of the top companies you are likely paying more because of high competition between advertisers.

Well unless you have tried it at best you are just typing.....

I've been doing PPC for over 3 years with just about every engine you can find and some that have since disappeared.

My CPC with the top 3 is low enough.... :D

Google QS is the great equalizer, and bid prices are not related to what competitors are bidding.

Don't know where you got your information... but its misinformation

I've always heard about fraud click problems with some of the lower tier SE's. I think I heard that the Commission Blueprint Videos talk about the fraud in the smaller SE's.

I have no personal knowledge of this though.

The fact is, once you establish a good CTR and history with Adwords, you can usually lower your bid substantially without losing position. But in the beginning, you have to start strong.

Agreed about starting strong and small. Start with all your most targeted keywords in a row and preferably a bit off center of all the traffic for a given target.

Usually you can corner the market on those few special close enough words and work your way up. The Quality Score is the key! :D A-B split test everything. And refresh even the winners. You can always improve
