I know you should updated it a lot but what if you only have time for 2 post a month and around 200-250 per post, is it worth having? BTW the blog is just an add on to the web site.

Maintaining a post frequency..is best method...it does not matter u post 3 articles per day or 3 articles once in week..in the sunday....then u need to maintain that consistently for more popularity....

Since the blog is simply an addon to the site, it is to be used for important announcements and communicating with your customers right ?

IMO 2 is a little too less, but if your posts can spark discussion and keep your visitors interested for a fortnight, then it might be fine

I think, that if the blog is used for important announcements, 2 is fine. Keep in mind tho that it might be a good idea to let your website visitors know when you have updated your blog, cause i'm kinda affraid people won't visit it on a regular basis since it's not updated much.

The idea is to get returning visitors which would be difficult if you posted so sparingly. You should try for at least 1 post a week if possible.

When I started my blog, I tried to post everyday. But, because of a change in my work schedule, I have been neglecting it. :( As luck would have it, it's still holding it's own on Google.

It has been my experience that the more frequently I post, the more comments I receive. My FeedBurner numbers go up, as well.

I just quit one of my 'day jobs' so I can write more. I hope to update at least 4 times a week. :)
