    Hello,
My question may look strange, but what will be better for better ROI to use few keywords in my AdWords campain or to use for example 20 words ?
    King regards...

More long tailed keywords that are laser targeted to your content are much cheaper, provide a lot of traffic still if you have enough of them and cost a lot less providing better ROI

Keywords in the range of 1-20 per adgroup is actually considered low. It's when you've got 1000 or whatever per adgroup that you're talking big numbers. And, yes, it's quite easy to spawn 1000's of keywords.

Answer: stay within the 1-20 range and really concentrate on them. I haven't had a lot of success with zillions of long-tailed KWs. Just my two cents.

For an entire campaign, it would be advisable to use more than 20 keywords.

Many keywords may rarely get clicks (but how much is that costing you...not much) and you may even get a few conversions from them, which will help bring down your overall cost.

Ensure that your negative list is comprehensive.

The number of keywords in no way influences ROI.

You need the right keywords. Sometimes it's 1, sometimes it's 10K.

As a general rule of thumb, more specific terms will generate fewer clicks, but a better cost per click and conversion rate.

If you are selling something, I don't see any reason not to put in every relevant keyword that you can think of, on exact and phrase match.

If they don't work, you can always remove them, adjust your bid, or move them into a new adgroup with their own advert.

The number of keywords really doesn't matter - the 'perfect' campaign would have all of the profitable ones, and none of the unprofitable ones, regardless of whether that was 10 or 10,000

I prefer to use as many targeted keywords as I can...The thing is to separate those keywords into different but more targeted ad groups.
Do it gradually and monitor every change and success is soon to come :)

Try as many keywords as you can, loss the keywords that are unprofitable and you'll get a treat for the holidays :D

I would say your best bet is to use as many different keywords and especially keyword phrases as possible

There are three different types of matches you can use - the simple match, the phrase match and the exact match. I would concentrate on all three types, but phrase matches and exect matches will give the best results. This is because people dont type in just general keywords - they usually type in several words. If you are just matching on a general keyword, then your ad may be NOTHING to do with what people are actually searching for! However if you use an exact match or a phrase match, you ad will only show up for that more carefully niched phrase. This will more carefully target your visitors

As an example say if I type in "boys school shoes" into Google, but advertisiers are targeting the general keyword "shoes". Then all the ads for things like dancing shoes, walking boots, shoe repair, shoes information site etc will all show - but I only want "boys school shoes". All these advertisers may be wasting their advertising budget, because I might click on their ads before I realize they are totally irrelevant to my search

Always have an eye on the fact that most people clicking ads are looking for FREE information - they are not looking to buy anything, so you need to be very careful, otherwise you will just end up with a big fat bill, and no sales

It can work if you simply provide them with what they want i.e. free info. So have a landing page asking for the name/email

What I do is offer a discount on the basis of "you will see this only once" type page. So my normal price for my recurring subscription is £14.99 GBP but if people click from Google they get a page telling them of a special offer for £9.99 that only lasts until midnight, todays date, and if they dont buy now the offer is gone forever. There is no way they can ever get back to the page even if they bookmark it. I have achieved far better conversions with this kind of page

I'd recommend watching your broad matching very closely - it's started giving some very poor results since they fiddled with the expanded matching. I've seen keywords jump from 10 impressions per day to 1000, and the clickthrough and conversion rates have suffered badly.

Worth trying, but keep an eye on them...

    Hello,
I would like to make it more clear for everybody. This campain is regarding business broker company , you know that only few people are selling or buying their companies with business brokers, but a lot of people are always wondering how much their company will cost if they decided to sell it. Even every webmaster have think to sell his/her website . I have check this option few times. I decided to add a localization phrase to every keyword to low the clicking percentage because the click though had grow from 10 - 100 a day.
    King regards...
