Less ads = more per click?

It depends on your niche and the origin of traffic.
generally, high paying ads shown in the first adblock.

 

Thats a myth. It doesn't matter what content you have on your site - lets put this notion to rest for good. Its all in the NICHE.

I have lots of sites. The biggest 'per click' earnings I get (most over a dollar, some well over) are from a bare mfa site. But the NICHE is very profitable. Too bad its tough getting traffic hehe...

 

I actually sometimes get ads from site X on site Y ... two of my sites with different content ~ weird

From everything I have read that is correct. Plus, your site looks much less greedy with only a couple of well placed ads.

 

Agreed. In my tests...lower # of ads has lead to nothing but less money.
