What should be the optimum length of title and description tag? is there any restriction in length of meta tag?
Basically, you can count that by spending a few minutes on your own. Just search in Google, Yahoo or Bing for any keyword. Try to find the lengthy title that ends with "...", which indicates that the title length is more than the search engine's supported length to show visitors. For example, Google only shows first 60 character from meta title. Meta description length will be 150 character in Google. Hope this helps.

I think so the number of characters for the meta-tags should be like below Title- 60-65 Char Description: 150-160 Char Keywords- 10-12 keywords in keyword tag
