Hi, Â Â I want to create a blog in free platforms like, squidoo, hubpages, wordpress, blogger, etc. This will be my main site and i want to rank them in google. In that case, which one will you recommend, have anyone of you managed to bring one of those properties to top 3. People mostly use them for creating backlinks to main sites, but i want to try whether they are good enough for ranking. I know these sites are aged and google likes them and also have some authority. So i think its easy to rank them rather than a brand new domain. Please guys , I need your input.Â
Go with Wordpress and make use of the SEO plugin, as far as ranking is concerned, make sure you have original content and place atleast one authority link (i recently learnt this!), say maybe to Wikipedia and highlight the KWs that you are targeting. And also place links to others pages to your website, so this helps the bot to crawl your website easily.
