Are you better off having the full post content displaying on the front page or just the first 50 words or so (is there a way to do this with wordpress?) as a teaser for people to click through?
    What do people think?

Use <--more--> tag where you want your post to be broken up.

It depends on what you want:

    1. If you want some of the post show the summaries while others post do not, so use <!--more--> tag in that particular post

    2. if you want all your post at front page shows summary, using this plugin- evermore: http://www.thunderguy.com/semicolon/wordpress/evermore-wordpress-plugin/
would be a great plugin :D

    hopefully it will help you

If the post is very ong use the <more> tag. Otherwise just leave everything as is. That's what I do.

Depends on how many posts you want to show on your front page. Personally, I think a blog is cluttered with a lot of full posts on the front page -- I'd rather browse through excerpts and if something catches my interest I'll read more.

The more tag splits your RSS too, so guys who read your content at another site will have to come to your site to read the site.
