Length of Articles

What is the best length for articles submitted to ezine? Lemonarian suggested 250 words, while others suggest 500 words?

I prefer 250 as well, less space between the site header and your resource link. When I changed mine to 250 from 500 I saw a considerable increase in CTR

 

I tend to go anywhere from 300-450 with an average of around 400 I guess.

 

You don't need to write an essay.

All you want to do is to get backlinks and visitors to your website.

So just write 300-350 words article providing useful content and that will be good enough.

 

Its not the size - its what you do with it !!

 

Very well said drax2006. That is so true. Quality over Quantity... That being said, I keep mine around 300 words

 

I try to keep mine right around 250. But sometimes I get long winded and end up with an extremely long article. I don't recommend this. I believe 250-300 is right where you want to be.

 

I like 250 to 300 word articles the best, both to read and to write. Life is to short these days to read a book of a niche article

It's ok for any niche. There isn't a specific length of articles for each niche.

I just said that. 250-300-350 is alright.

 

the normal word length is 250 but for article marketing is more important the words and not the numbers. A 350 word can sell better than 250, the ideas and the information that you give are more important...

Over 350 words the reader can easily get bored and leave the page without clicking on the resource box.
