Length for description, titles and keywords

    i know this is an old one but what do you think is the optimum length for these areas of the site (characters or words)

    I think the less words, the more value a search engine gives per word. (Perhaps more value to the words in the beginning of the tag, but I'm not sure about that)

    For Title the maximum number is between 60 to 70 character including including spaces and punctuation. But in Yahoo it is up to 120 charecter. Beyond that it is not considered.

    In any case, make it a point to get your keywords in the very beginning so as to get maximum SEO benefit.

    ive used www.submitexpress.com/analyzer for some sites, and it seems to go well with msn and yahoo.

    So give that tool a run and see where you sit
