Legality with Selling a Membership Site

    If I sell a site with members (email and active information), am I required to disclose the sale to the members? What if the new owner decides to spam them or something to that extent?

    Just tell them they are under new management, and ease ur way out.

    As long as you alert all your members to the change, you'll be fine.

    Also, be sure you didn't put 'we won't sell information to 3rd parties' and such phrasing, as you'd be breaking your own contract.
