Legality of premium wordpress themes

    Hi,
    I stumbled upon this article
    Is it true that any wordpress themes even so called premium themes (as long as they are not based on another framework) can be used for free?
    ADDED: meaning like it can be used, and redeveloped? How is the status for blogger templates then?

    No, the post you linked to, and the article it referenced doesn't say that - and they are also from 2009.

    So is there any latest update that can defy what Matt said in terms of the GPL wordpress themes rights is under?
