Can you rewrite articles from article directories or other sites as long as they are changed sufficiently and pass copyscape?

You could I suppose, but seriously, it would be a whole lot easier if you just write a new article instead of making edits to "pass" copyscape.

I have to get between 600 and 900 articles done in 30 days for niches i know very little about because i have been ripped off twice here.
What would u do if u were in my place? I just need to know the legality of getting articles rewritten and placed on my site.
Is there anyone that could help me please as far as legalities?

Rewritting an article is creating a derivative work. It is illegal unless you are the copyright owner or have permission. What you want to do is illegal. Even if you change them drastically.
