Legal way to mask links...?

    I received an infraction for using tinyurls in one of my threads...I guess it was assumed I was masking affiliate links because I was using tinyurl but I was only using tinyurl because I didn't want the sites to be indexed on search engines from DP.

    But I accept the infraction, of course. However, is there a legal way to mask links you just don't want to be indexed by search engines on DP without being accused of posting affiliate links or is masking of links totally prohibited? Thanks.

    Masked links (affiliate or otherwise) are not allowed in messages.

    You can put your link in an image, or type something like w w w . g o o g l e . c o m or any other method by which actual link is transmitted to reader.
