Hi Is it legal to show movie trailers from youtube.com on my website and clips related to movies like television show from news channels like cnn about the movie? If not what can i do about it so that i can have such clips on my website?
I reckon, even it is on youtube the trailer is still copyrighted to the content owner, but the copy write owner has given youtube the right to do "whatever it want" including sub-licensing to others to use. As long as you do not change the content in any way, or claim copyright there should not be any infringement .... I think. Otherwise youtube will not provide yout the embedd codes for you to use.
