Legal Registrations For An Established Site

    I have a client that has a website that is taking off and he wants to know if he needs to register with any state/gov agency such as a trademark, copyright, etc.

    All money he makes goes to his S Corp EIN that is a different name than the website .com name...

    I thought that maybe he should register the ficticious name, but not sure if it is neccessary.

    He might as well. Registering an additional DBA/fictitious name is usually very inexpensive. I believe here in Washington state it is below $15.
