If I send a contract to a client via email before commencing work, does the email they reply with stating they agree to the terms and conditions of my work as laid out in the contract become legally binding in the eyes of the law.

For example if they failed to pay $1000 to me after work was completed would the law defend me or because it is electronic is it basically null and void?

    Thanks in advance,
    Richard
