Legal Notice from ASk.COM - is this a real one???

    I got a mail claiming from ask.com and asksettlements.com

    I dont know what it is all about...

    What is this :confused:

    I have no idea.... also i dont understand this legal language... anyone can help?

    I think it is in your favor. They want to give you advertising credits for some click fraud. ;)

    Basically it is saying that if you had spent money with askjeeves on or after Aug. 1, 2005 and can show that you received invalid clicks you can apply for credits to make up for the invalid clicks. If not, then it means nothing.

    I would stay away from this for a few days. While it looks fairly legit, it could be a phishing site designed to get info from people.

    If it is legit, it has to do with a lawsuit that was filed against Google, Yahoo, AskJeeves and others a few years ago. The lawsuit is legit. Whether this site is or not, can't tell yet. I did notice that the whois is for Domains By Proxy which makes me suspicious. Of course, that could be the idea. Make it look suspicious so fewer people sign up.
