Legal Music and Radio?

    i have a website and was going to run a radio on it, but was scared incase i got sued would this be the case? i am from the UK.

    Also if i linked to music radio sites so when a user clicks my play button it connects to some one elses website radio would that be fine legal wise?

    Not sure if i would do that. If you link to site you should just let person go to the site not have thier music play

    what if it linked to a shoutcast in which the winamp or windows media player will show a link to the site? would that be better?

    If you was playing copyrighted music on your own "radio station" (done through ShoutCast) in this country (UK) you will need two licenses however if the shoutcast server is based in America then you need ust one license. I cannot remember the names of the ones that are needed though. However if you are broadcasting non-copyrighted music then you don't need any license. :)

    aint all music copyrighted music =) would it still be legal to just link to them so they *are* not on my server my server is in the usa so would i need two or one any idea of the prices?
