is it common for a publisher to ask for my signutare on some legal documents faxed back before i start the program

Please give me your advice or feedback

Well, generally working with any publishers, you will have a binding contract to seal the deal. Most of which time, it is agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and Acceptable Usage Policy. You basically agree by signing with them or checking some checkboxes.

The legal documentation with your signature is no different from the electronic ones.

Make sure that when signing any contract, be sure to read the entire contract and sign only when you agree to the terms. Be aware that as with the electronic contracts, you are bounded by the terms of the contracts whether you read them or not.

    Did you read through it?
    Did everything seem Kosher?
I would definitely read every bit of it and if anything seems fishy ask a lawyer to take a look at it. It's worth the money to be save IMO.

You've been online too long. :D

I've yet to do that to a publisher, but I've done that to finish my credit card
application, complete a lease contract, etc. Do they count? :)

I agree with eddy2099. Make sure you read and fully understand the docs or
you might find yourself bound to their terms you might not agree with.

Read the document in its entirety and if you understand and agree with the stipulations, sign it and return it. Keep a copy on hand for your records.

If you don't understand the document you may run it in front of an attorney first, which will cost you $$$. Your call!
