Legal Emails from Inept Lawyers

I received two emails from totally inept lawyers accusing me of selling copyright stuff on a web site that listed me as their technical contact. Wanted me to confess where and how I obtained my stuff etc and threatening this and that.

I send an extremely sarcastic email back and copy to the owners of the copyright. Any other things that I can do? I never expect lawyers to be so inept as not to check who is the owner and shot out emails as if they are free (or maybe they are free for them). Really not much difference from the spams we are getting

I really don't think there is anything else that you can really do except wait to see if they reply to your responce.

Heh, there are such lawyers. Some even sent DMCAs to the registrar I worked
for in a previous life...for what turned out to be domain-trademark disputes.

We simply replied back telling DMCAs don't apply to trademarks, and to re-file
properly. Many didn't while a few did, but...we told them we'll only comply with
a UDRP or court order for that situation.

    Just an example, of course.

    Don't worry about it.

If they asked first if people were involved with the activity, everyone would just say no.
