    hi,

    Just want Some Legal Clarification.

I want to register a domain name which has 2 words both of them are the trade mark of a big company.

But the combination is not a trade mark

Can i use any of the TDL's like

    Word1word2.com, net, org

    or word1+word2.com....

    and any combination

    Second Question

Can i use single word with a combination like :

    word1books.com...
    word2-articles.com...

Are this Legal or Can the Company Claim back it from me ?

    Hoping Satisfactory Answer

    Thanks in Advance

Did you do an exhaustive search?

Have you verified there are no parties who can demonstrate trademark rights
even if they're not registered? (and there are such cases...)

Point is, you can register and use any domain name you see fit.....subject to
the legal fine prints of your domain provider and any relevant laws (especially
trademark laws of where you are). Both dictate what you can and can't do
with the domain name/s you register.

And yes, any company can claim trademark rights and sue you for it. But it's
their burden to demonstrate such first.
