Legal alternative to who.is

I am wondering any alternatives to providing a name other than my own.

Some providers do not have a private who.is available, therefore you must enter a name/address to purchase.

Does anybody know any other legal option?

I would highly recommend that you do not use fake info on domain name WHOIS in any case. The best option for you would be to transfer the domain name to a decent domain name registrar such as Namecheap.com which provides WHOIS Guard for no additional cost.

Why do you highly recommend not using fake info?

Also, I don't believe I can transfer, as the domain extension belongs to one country(I have not seen any resellers)

use whois protection for your domain. This is how you can hide your details from who.is servers.
