Hello everybody, In Today;s Market there are several places where we buy anonymous virtual credit card (vcc)for some extra bugs, That too visa, MC Authencity...........These types of card work with any physical address....... What are all the legal issues that any firm/inc/company can impose on that user who used vcc? ( when used online purpose with some fake address, of xx country) Now who will be in trouble the vcc user or the vcc issuer I hope this is right thread to analyse this issue, Shoot your words
I would suspect it would be the VCC User because it is the User that activated the card with the address, and then used it on a web site. The VCC Issuer did nothing illegal if the card was purchased and sold to the User legally. A VCC is generally guaranteed money so I don't see why the firm/inc/company would care unless you bought something illegal with the card, or you did a chargeback.
Hello nyxano, If vcc used with wrong address , say like accessing games online, to watch dirty content...by that time, who will be responsible........ Only with the Card number , is it possible for a merchant can catch the original vcc card issuer........
The VCC User is responsible. Part of the VCC Card Agreement is that you provide accurate information. If you choose not to, you are in violation of that agreement. Unless the funds on a VCC are stolen, a merchant isn't going to care. At most, they'll keep your money and suspend/ban your account if you are under-age, or what ever. In the end though, unless the funds on the card are stolen, what you do with the VCC has no bearing on the issuer/seller. It's like buying a gun. If you shoot someone, you are responsible - not the person/company that sold the gun to you. If you mis-use the VCC, you are responsible, not the person that sold it to you.
But I do believe that the user would be the one to get into trouble. The issuer is trying to get their card out there for business. The user knows wether he or she should be using it.
