Left or Right?

Do you think a 160 X 600 Skyscraper would be more effective on the left or right side of a blog?

 

Acording to my experiance left side is much better.

 

I'm a little confused, you say left is better, but your blog ads are on the right

 

That's because the placement of AdSense is limited in blogger isn't it? Can't really place the link on the left hand side of the page without editing the template...

 

Try a third alternative: get rid of the sky and use a 336 at the bottom (or at the top) of your articles instead.

I agree. They really don't look, shall we say, "purty" at all, but yeah, they are the most effective ad block out there right now (not counting the Adlink units). And it actually doesn't look that bad once you get rid of the borders and background. Then it just looks like four ads sitting in a white space after your article. Very clickable.

Well ... I have some other sites too and left side works better for me.

 

OK, I see what you're saying.

 

Left is traditionally the most successful, that being said I have it on the right.
