Most of you have probably heard of it. It's a large blog like site that caters to car junkies. I was wondering where a site like this gets content? Do the users post it? Do they feed off other sites? From what it looks like their content is unique, and it's up to the minute. I run a large car forum and I would like to incorporate news and I am just wondering where info like this originates from. The site is run by a 20 something individual -- I doubt he has inside connections to automotive news.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

BTW for those who dont know:

Leftlane News is part of Federated Media Publishing, which has a stable of pro or semi-pro automotive writers that provide the core content for their automotive niche sites.

Federated Media also operates and/or partners with The Truth About Cars and AutoSpies. I am not exactly sure what the relationship is there.

AutoSpies features a lot of user-generated content on a format similar to Digg. Readers submit and then vote on articles. The Truth About Cars takes submissions from anyone, but their submission guidelines are very specific and professional.

Wow great info! I wasn't aware of that. They also run a similar gaming news site.
