I have 2 tables, i need to left join them

    table1:
    id
    categ

    table2:
    id_table1
    id_post
    title

I need to left join table1 with the LAST id_post from table2, GROUPED by id_table1, is there anyway to do that?

I mean, i need to do something like an ORDER BY in the left join table2, but i dont know how to do it

I need to do a SELECT and get all unique categs:

    categ | id_post (last id_post from that id_categ)

order it descending first in a temporary table, then use this table as a reference for your left join?

wouldn't a semijoin be better though? i'm not 100% though!
