Left BANS for This -> Craigs Agent

Hi guys, I had been having decent luck with BANS (I ran about 10 niche sites). What I didnt like was the fact that v3 was buggy, and it takes so long to make money from a new BANS site.

Recently I had a chance to beta a program called Craigs-Agent. 2 Words, it's AWESOME!

Basically, it provides a custom user interface that allows you to quickly search through the wanted ads on Craigslist, find matching products on eBay, and quickly send out hundreds of custom emails containing YOUR eBay affiliate links.

It's brilliant and they aren't afraid to let people try it for free. Even if you dont ditch BANS all together this is worth a try in my book.

The actual release of the full software is tomorrow, but check my sig for the free trial if you're curious.

I would also like to hear of any tips or tricks you guys may have to help me earn even more on CJ!

Agreed. I'd have to find it, but I'm pretty sure it's against TOS with Commission Junction.

 

that will get you banned from ebay very quickly.

why not just give the url? instead of thru tiny url????? smells like spam to me

 

I'd be bummed to find out it's against the TOS because its working really well. I've had 3 people actually e-mail me back thanking me for sending them the link.

If I was looking to buy something and put an ad out, I'd be thrilled if someone e-mailed me a link to get exactly what I wanted for cheap.

I'll keep everyone posted, even if it doesnt last for long.

 

I think the reason some use tinyurl are to shorten the link so that more words/characters can be put in the sig.

 

I thought it seemed innocent enough. If this does violate terms someone please let me know so I can stop using it. I want to keep a good rep.
And how is it spam to have a sig link to a free software? lol.

 

This is correct, i think you only get 32 characters for DP sig links.

 

You should stop and read the eBay terms on cj.com before you go any further if you are concerned with what might happen.

I know why you think it is "innocent" but you have to play by eBay's rules. In some ways you are right, it could be a nice service to "find" ebay items for them but I think you are going to run afoul of EB/CL quickly.

unsolicited e-mails are never allowed. Spam is illegal now, thats why you have to have people opt in.

 

EDIT: People are putting ads on craigs list asking people to respond. Im not spamming them if Im offering them exactly what they are looking for am I?

Its not like the software is randomly sending these e-mails on its own, its just saving me the trouble of manually e-mailing them. Im helping them.

If I put an add on a classified site telling people Im looking to buy something, I cant really get mad when they respond with what Im looking for now can I?

That is correct. Cj can drop you if they find you promoting using emails. I did it in the beginning and was very close to being dropped. Its not worth it.

Boy am I glad I saw this post

I'm the creator of CraigsAgent - and trust me when I say, we have already covered the steps necessary to ensure that no one is getting banned from CJ.com

Our software has a hidden referral tracking technology built in so that CJ.com does not know that the links are coming through email. On top of that, we cloak the links on our server, as well as your own (optional for you to utilize).

We have been testing the software for a long time now with beta testers and no one has had an issue. so you are offering to a method for cj affiliates to break cj's TOS but its OK because using your system cj won't find out???

 

Spamming with links in the email is against TOS. What about spamming, er, I mean sending helpful emails that suggest visiting a website with affiliate links on it?
