You can leave the computer on for years and years and it'll still outlast the technology. The way I see it, by the time the computer dies, it's way past due for a new one that is up-to-date.
I turn mine off unless downloading or running some system function which will take a while like defragmenting the drive.
or how about immersing the CPU in ice water just to keep it cool BTW, I shut down my PC / laptop when not in use. Let them take rest when there is no work
chaabs, turn it off if possible. It saves electricity and your bill I always turn it off at night and leave it on during the day. LOL is your computer water-proof?
I always make it a point to shut down my pc if I do not intend to use it for even half an hour. Electricity is precious and I do believe in saving it, as much as I can, for the future generation! Regards, RightMan
i never leave my pc on. after i finish my work i keep it off.bur I don't see the problem with leaving it on all the time, as long as it isn't clogged full of dust and has proper air flow then the only downside would be the waste of electricity.
I turn it off some times. The computer works better and last more when you keep it on most of the time. Keep it in a cool environment though. ~Mike
after all i thing we should turn off whenever we didnt use it. its the best way to spare your computer lifetime..
I personally don't think there will be any problems. But I do turn off my LCD monitor because I know it does shorten it's lifespan.
