After been banned by Google I want to try affiliate marketing. I've heard a lot about it. Some even say one can live off it if done right. I am hoping someone will show me how to start affiliate marketing, may be setting up my online store.
Thanks. Is it through that it takes up to a year to make real money from affiliate? That is what i read from one blog. If not what is the break even period cause I really need to know to do my analysis and plans.
I would suggest Clickbank or Amazon to start off. I think it can be a little easier to sell people on Amazon just because of how popular it is. Smaller commission % but you can try to sell big-ticket items and target some longtails. One important thing to remember is to not lay all your eggs in one basket. As you can already see with Adsense, things can pull a 180 on you real quick.
Clickbank is very simple to start with because they don't filter Affiliates. You basically sign up and you're in, you don't go through a normal approval process than with a traditional "Affiliate Network". When you apply for Hydra, Clickbooth, or Market Leverage they will view your site and make sure it drives their desired traffic, and call you on the phone for a short interview. So if you end up applying for these site, make sure your site is up to par. My suggestion if you're getting started in Affiliate Advertising is advertising in Facebook or MySpace. So for example if you sign up for Clickbank, then under the MarketPlace you find a product that you want to promote. Then you do a simple squeeze page for the traffic to go from Facebook to the squeeze page (make it super short and to the point) then have your affiliate link in there for more info to be directed to the offer you're promoting. Make your ads on Facebook or MySpace enticing enough (but not deceiving) where it will grab you audiences' attention. Be sure to target people that would relate to the ad you're promoting. That way you don't waste money and time on random people who won't have interest on the ad.It's not going to be free, but you'll can start seeing some targeted traffic view the offer you are promoting. Now if you want to set up an Online Store the "MyOwnGoldenGoose" Program is very helpful for newbies and it shows you how to properly set up the Payment Page aswell. It's great because it shows you what to do on Video so it's very easy to follow. ...and they also have an Affiliate Program. Best of luck!
i will help set you up with your own online affiliate store in a specific adult niche that pays average commissions of $100 per sale
I personally don't feel you can make a living out of affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing only needs internet marketing skills and a little bit of internet knowledge. But above all it needs a lot of hard work, and a valuable amount of time to be spent every day. People who talk about making a living out of Affiliate Marketing are either playing with you or making fool out themselves. Consider Affiliate marketing as a secondary source of income, and try to find some genuine affiliate programs which will pay you on time.
Affiliate marketing is a tough nut to crack but once conquered, it can truly be very rewarding! The key to success in this segment is a lot of self belief and to remain persistent in your efforts, in spite of great set backs... early on! Regards, RightMan
Hey, If you already have sites with good traffic volume you can start making money more or less instantly. If you're taking the approach of blog promos, simple LPs, or email you will more than likely have a slow start. I represent a CPA network and I personally am currently accepting new accounts. Feel free to PM me or hit me up on ICQ if you have other questions about getting started, or want to hear about my network's program. I'd be happy to throw a few tips your way
You certainly can earn a living with affiliate marketing and it certainly has it's advantages in that you don't have to create your own products or do copywriting, and you don't have any customer support to deal with. However, you do need to learn how to drive traffic affordably (whether by PPC, SEO, or whatever), how to presell, how to write reviews, how to pick quality products to promote, and how to build lists. I'd guess if you worked hard, you'd see tangible results within 4-6 months, not 1 year, but you will need to take action. Gary
