Hi all! As a newbie I was wondering if anyone could lend a word of advice. Where did you learn the ways of day-to-day affiliate marketing and how long did it take you to really start to pick up solid skills? Thanks everyone!
I learned it mostly from 2010 to 2013 during my first career, I started with website skills then read about Internet Marketing stuff on forums like this one, and BlackhatWorld. I also learned by watching other marketers on facebook and all over the internet, and seeing what was out there.. I also learned by signing up for affliliate networks, and viewing their offers and sending a bit of traffic to them. It takes time and experience to learn, but part of it does involve forum research. The only REAL way to learn is to try it. I have created a badass guide, but I don't want to spam the link here but PM me if you are interested. Otherwise look around for info, and find a method that looks doable.
Hi: How quickly you pick up skills will depend on how quickly you learn, how much time you put into your new business and how much money you have to spend. There are lots of different types of affiliate programs around. You might want to go to Amazon and check out a few books on affiliate marketing there so you can learn some of the language and terms. You also need to figure out which affiliate networks you eventually want to join. Some networks require experience and others don't. Take your time, read up on several options and progress slowly....
