Learning PHP

    i am looking to learn some PHP, along the lines of adding content via an admin panel, could you point me in the right direction.

    any resources you know of that helped you.

    Hey,

    yea i been reading there allready, but to edit the content via the actual website you need to use JS, is there no way to use just PHP?

    I'm a complete newbie to coding in PHP. I've been using it for about year on all my sites tho always got someone else to do it. I'm very skilled in HTMl and CSS, have been for about 5 years now.

    How long would it take me to get a reasonable grasp of PHP?

    Plus can anyone recommend a good book or tutorial site?

    I was gonna buy the PHP and MySql book from Sitepoint...any thoughts?
