I wouldn't advice anyone who wants to build a website to learn HTML. Nowadays you can build your site just by the click of a mouse. You do not have to do the techie stuff like coding. Start with test sites using web 2.0 property like wordpress.com , sign up and start your free blog once you know how to go about it, buy a domain name, look for a good webhosting company( i prefer hostgator) and build your site in a min of 5 mins. This actually helped me out.

Using frontpage or dreamweaver would be a good idea, they let you build websites in simple terms and then view the code, this will give you a better understanding of the html language. There are so many other ways to build website tho without knowing html, joomla, wordpress etc. Check them out.

Interesting site. But I did learn basic HTML from w3school.Anyways, the best way to learn HTML is probably just build the site you want and search up the things you don't understand as you go.
