Hey all, When we're looking to improve our copywriting, we usually look to familiar blogs and sources about the art itself. But sometimes studying something completely different can take your understanding to a new level. This was the kind of experience I had recently. I'm on the email list for Groupon, the deal-of-the-day coupon website in the U.S. and Canada. They market like crazy and have attracted some incredible popularity, but their copywriting was what really impressed me. It was funny, cleverly written and really made me want to buy the products. I decided to research a little more about it, and I found that they invest a TON of resources into making sure their sales writing is top-notch. Their business model inspired a lot of copycats, but their huge investment in WRITING is a big reason why their company is now worth $1 billion. I think we could all learn something from Groupon and the way they set their priorities. Some of the writing is simply amazing. I wrote more about this on my blog in a recent post. Groupon: A Lesson in Creative, Effective Copywriting I'd be curious to hear what others think.
