Hey everyone it's Noah (a person who creates websites). I'm creating this tutorial in hope to teach people how to build a website the right way. Creating a website can be hard if your just entering the website development field. It was for me to. This is why I'm creating this step by step tutorial. Before I start I want to highly suggest after reading this to visit my blog and read my Build a Website page. It provides an in depth overview of this entire process. Step 1. Your Niche Every blog and website needs something to talk about. Before even registering the domain name figure this out. See here for more information. Step 2. Choosing a Host/Hosting Service\ Assuming you competed the first step it's time to choose a hosting service. They're are literally thousands out their. I currently use Host Gator. An excellent hosting company to start with and expand. Read more about choosing the right hosting company here. Step 3: Blog or Website What kind of internet user are you? Are you someone who wants a simple to use interface and doesn't really care or want's to mess with code? Or do you want to get hands on and create something that's never been created before? To help you decide If you want a blog or not read here. Step 4: Content Having good quality content is key. It's also extremely important to make sure it's original and isn't repetitive. Read about creating content original content here. Step 5: Traffic Development Getting someone to visit your website can be a real drag and a lot of work. Creating a website that someone want's to visit is crucial in website development. Click here and find the "Traffic Devlopment" section. Step 6: Where to Go From Here? Well, if you haven't already read my page on building a website that I've linked to a few times you should probably go read it! Anyways I suggest reading a few eBooks on website development or evening going to your library and picking up some books.
Nice article... this is great for new users as a sort of "quick start guide" obviously there is a bit more to it than this, but definitely a goof overview... thanks!
A nice reminder of the gameplan. Usually I get stuck in finding what I truly like, finding a niche that is related, and creating unique ways to drive traffic to it.
