I was called by one of there reps and had about 1 hour conversation from someone at Leapfish. I think the site looks great and was a little interested in purchasing some key words. Ended up puchasing 2 keywords. Then later read some bad things about them. They are rating high in alexa. What to you think? Did I get screwed?

LeapFish used to be a stupid appraisal tool couple of years ago. Maybe those bad comments were about that. I don't know the current site but if it's rankings are high, you shouldn't be worrying about it.

They are ranking Pr6 and in Alexa 10,232 last time I checked and the graph shows growth. But I did like the idea of buying a keyword that I own.

I am sorry to say, but how many people do you think actually use LeapFish? You just found out about it when they contacted you and $1,500 for a keyword, plus renewal fees, wow...:)

If you really want the low down look at it this way.

EVERYBODY is fighting over the keyword 'mortgage' in Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask.com willing to pay as much as $20 a click. So, if a word is this popular and people are willing to spend a lot per click and LeapFish has been running their sales model for a couple of years as they are doing today.......then why have only 2 of the 3 ad spots been purchased.....because they do not drive traffic and/or they do not convert.

Also, check out the ads on LeapFish and you will quickly see that for any keyword these are companies that no one has ever heard of before. If this was so great, why wouldn't the big, established companies want to compete in the new marketplace.....because it does not really work.

I hate to say this, but some things are too good to be true and this is one of them....:)

I am sorry bud, did not mean to make you cry, but I would love to hear about your experience with them as I have never known anyone who has ever bought one of their keywords. Do you have ads up yet? have you received any traffic yet? What does it do when it gets to your site (bounce, hand around, convert)?

    Thanks in advance....:)

    Hopefully not...:)

I am glad to hear you are getting traffic. Now I would love to get an idea if it is real or bot traffic. I feel like I am really imposing, but you have been so nice to share everything to date that I thought I might ask. Can you tell if the traffic is just bouncing, hanging around or even converting for you?

I cannot tell if its converting as they don't have a code for conversion. If you ask me I think the whole thing Is B.S. Funny how I got traffic when leapfish called me but I could not answer because I was too busy here. But now today no traffic that's impossible. Ok I remember when the sales man called me demonstrating the site and he was like click here and there. He had me click on peoples ads to show me how it linked right to their site I thought that was funny there. Why I am I clicking on peoples ads for I know It's going to lead to their sites. Sound like a trick they play they make people click on other peoples ads on the phone supposedly showing you how it works just to bring up clicks on peoples ads so that they think they are getting clicks so that they say "hey it really works I am going to buy another keyword" I think they are full of it. But I do think the site has potential though.
