Hi. I was thinking about becoming an affiliate for VistaPrint. On their website they show the details of the program. Basically, it's 10 percent of sale and $2 for each "free product" you sell. So, I'd get $2 if someone "bought" the free 250 business cards they offer. However, I was just visiting the ecomxpo online. And, a company called Leadflash says that if I join as an affiliate there for VistaPrint I get ten dollars for each sale. And, if someone "buys" the free 250 business cards that I still get the ten dollars. How can they offer such a different commission? How can they afford to give me $10 for the 250 free business card offer? I'm worried that if I join through Leadflash that I will find out that what they said is untrue. And, then I won't be able to join the program directly from VistaPrint because I'll already be an affiliate. What do you think? Is the offer too good to be true?
Well, I went and chatted with them again. He said it does count as a sale. But, I want it in writing first. He said I would have to join first. Unacceptable as far as Im concerned.
I dont understand why you don't believe them and it does not good for them to lie to you because then you won't make them any money I think u may be being overly cautious just my take I could be wrong.
the key is you still have to pay for shipping with the offer and the company still gets their information to solicit them for future business. They are paying for the lead more based on future business than the amount they will earn off the bat. this is common practice when the signups are somewhat targeted and limited criteria.
Hi. Yes, I understand why VistaPrint can afford to give away the business cards. But, what I didn't understand was how a company, such as Leadflash, can offer to give me a higher comission than the actual company (VistaPrint). Oh, well. I'm too paranoid sometimes and a bit cautious. I'll join the affiliate program directly through VistaPrint. Thank you all for your help.
This is not uncommon to hav ethem payout more through an affiliate program outside of there own. I run several campaigns that if i went directly from the site i would only get .75 per lead but sinc ei am with affiliate network i get 1.25 for the same lead... its the volume so they pay more.
melaniejk, This is John Dalton frm LeadFlash. I wanted to assure you that the payouts that we offer are 100% correct. Since we push such a high volume of business to our advertiser offers, we are able to negotiate higher payouts and can pass them along to you. Of course you could promote them directly and request the same volume bonus that you can through us, but since they view us as a gateway to thousands of sales they will traditionally give us a higher payout than a single affiliate. If you have any questions you can IM me or contact us directly. Our phone number is listed on the website. Thanks, John Dalton
