    hi,

Our sites feel pretty good in yahoo and google. looks like these SEs promote steady work on the site. however, we have poor listings on MSN and I am wondering why is that.
how shall we perform to be high on MSN in our competetive area?
    aany good threads?

    thanks,

Wow - most people have the exact opposite problem. Do a search for "search engine ranking factors" - follow seomoz's advice - and you'll play in G's box while enjoying bounty from M

thanks HN Will, what do you mean by:
"and you'll play in G's box while enjoying bounty from M"
we are already out of the G sandbox and would prefer not to come back there. it was funny time to play there, but one day one shall start doing serious things ;)
    thanks anyway

If you get any good links to read about MSN please post them here as I would be interested in reading them as well.

MSN seems to rely much more heavily on the "on-site" SEO factors and IBL/site-wide links where the anchor text has the keywords of interest. Do a little experiment where you put a link on all your pages with a keyword of interest to a page you want boosted on MSN SERPs - I think that might show you something. Be careful, however, this might lower G and Y serp placement. If anyone has been able to optimize well for all three i'd be interested to learn about that as well...

You can always check a backlink tracker, see how many links you have in msn and how many in google. Its possible msn hasn't found the links yet, how new is your site?

    hi,
thanks for the posts. my sites are 2003 and 2004. travel ones. one is offering real product, the other is an affiliate site.
SERPs I watch are completely different from those in G or Y.

looks like I need to improve the content on my earning pages.
