LayeredPanel - The worst company EVER!!

    Hello Everyone,

This is more of a warning thread than anything else. Layeredpanel was doing well up until (roughly) 5 weeks ago. I had regular support from them and they were a great help, but ever since the end of September they have not been answering any emails, or installing the script for people that paid for it.

I recently paid for another layeredpanel script and also paid for installation just to find that there were all these problems and if I wanted to have it installed I would have to get someone else to do it.

This is basically a warning to everyone NOT TO SUPPORT LAYEREDPANEL!!

They are a large company and there is no excuse for them to treat customers this way.

    Thanks

One of my friend is working with LayeredPanel, can you PM me your problems with LayeredPanel, I suppose I can get some help from him to prioritize your concerns.

    Hi Jon,

You have reason to be frustrated as you are correct that things have not run smoothly over the past few weeks. That has been my responsibility and for that I apologize.

However, we are not as you have suggested a large company. Quite the opposite, we are a very small company. And that has been the source of the problem. I bought Layered Panel back in May. My priorities were to improve the quality of the script and the support. We have had successes in both areas. We have a very effective support team in place and also have a development team working on fixes, improvements, and new features for the next version of LP which should be finished before the end of the year. This is not to say that everything is perfect, but it is a matter of discussion every day - where can we improve.

So why the problems? The primary reason is that I have been the only one handling most of the administrative and business tasks, which includes issuing new licenses. Over recent weeks, I have been dealing with some health issues that have left me unavailable for a few days at a time with little or no notice. This has caused a backlog in certain areas and has inconvenienced some customers, which I regret.

What is being done? Over the past few days, I have been working with my partner (until now, a silent partner) to bring her up to speed on the day-to-day administrative tasks. The idea is that if one of us is not available, the other will be and these tasks will get handled in a timely fashion. This new structure should be in place in the next couple of days.

I also want to reiterate that this is not the fault of the support team. They have done an excellent job under difficult circumstances throughout and if there is anywhere that they have not been able to provide support it has only been because I have not been available to provide them with some necessary information.

As a side note, I sent you an email earlier today (prior to having this forum thread pointed out to me) about this situation and have upgraded your license to include updates & upgrades and 6 months support because of the inconvenience. I also included my personal email if there is anything else we can do to rectify this for you. Likewise, if anyone else has encountered similar problems, please let us know right away so that we can take the necessary steps to assist you.

The bottom line is that there was a temporary problem and it is now being fixed. You are right that this shouldn't have happened in the first place. I wish now that I had put the same focus on the administrative side as I put on the support and development areas - an oversight on my part. We learn from our mistakes and move on.

    Regards,

    Andrew Humeniuk
    Layered Panel owner

I have emailed LayeredPanel my details and also emailed them a few times since then to see if they received them, and unsurprisingly I have not received a reply or any form of contact!

Still waiting for a reply, LayeredPanel's service is absolutely awful, even for a small company! Strong recommend people not to use them

I have sent you an email with some questions we need answered in order to proceed.

Also, please note that for some reason I am not getting email notifications when I receive a DP PM, so please email me directly.

I would recommend that no one buys layeredpanel ever again, unless a new owner takes over! Andrew has ruined a great company!

    STAY AWAY FROM LAYEREDPANEL!!!

You dont have a backup? Or are you not having access to take backup? If you have, then you should shift by now.

    Hey Jon1771

    I can help you out.

    I have LP also.

I had the same problem, but Andrew helped me out.

They do take for ever but when they get the time they are very supportive.

If you want I can install LP on your VPS or Dedicated server.

Just show me proof you paid for the script. Paypal receipt, ETC.

    PM me.
