It is for all intents and purposes, impossible. I recently saw a video presentation on why one should never speak to police, because you can only incriminate yourself, and the point was made by the law school expert, that there are 10,000 some laws. There is no way you can know and understand them all. (From memory, may not be 100% accurate, but suitable for our discussion purpose) For example, in the US, you cannot own or possess any animal or plant good which is illegal in any other country around the world. Most people do not know this law, and they also are unaware of which goods are illegal in which countries at any given time. But this is infact a law. So good luck with trying to stay within the law. If you have the patience and want to take a red pill, try reading this.
yea, you can be sued for almost everything, there is a reason why filthy rich are scared to move without legal advisor
Most people including me don't know that it's illegal to sell acetone more than 5 litters since it can be bought in grocery and supermarkets. I was shocked watching the news employees of the big supermarket was arrested and charged with violation of the Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 It should be sold only in Pharmacy not in supermarkets. Why don't they sued the owners of every supermarket because they are buying more than 5 litters acetone. You can find almost everything using the internet, I'm just wondering you can't find a site of laws.
well not all of us have been to law schools and hence we might no some but maybe not all.. however, the law is there so people do the right thing. the law is there so you can live in peace. the law was made by man and since we are all human beings there are certain laws we need not learn from books before we go by them.. we use our common sense.. do the right thing as a normal human being and you are good to go..
1. I agree with person who said not to talk to the police. If you are worried about being charged with a crime, you should only provide your name and address. If you are not worried, there is nothing wrong with cooperating with law enforcement. 2. I have serious doubts about the law you claim exists (for discussion purposes from memory). It just does not pass the smell test. I assume it would be a Federal law since you say it applied to everyone in the US. First, I doubt such a law exists. Second, even if such a law existed, it would be unconstitutional for a number of reasons. Not the least of which is be it would be totally uncertain as to what was illegal in every other country, one could never know what was legal or not. Simply, I don't buy it. I would be happy to read anything that says otherwise and admit it if I am wrong.
That's the problem with the law common sense is not applicable. If you will use common sense podcasting and music sharing is same as music piracy. How come podcasting is legal and piracy is not? What's the difference between them? The LAW is greatest ever conspiracy . You can find almost anything in the internet but you can not find a single site of any country regarding the Law implemented there.
That is totally wrong. In the United States, nearly every law, at every level of government is available online. Every time I try to find some municipal code, or state law, there is an easy website with the information at the top of the google search. In addition I believe all Federal Laws are also online. I don't know about other countries, but to say you can't find a single one must mean you don't know how to use a search engine.
What's the link? Are all laws included in that site? What I mean is I can't find a single official site that has all laws in it. You can easily find a site but it's not official and not a reliable source of information. Law are being revised from time to time so it's important to use a reliable source of info
Read your countries constitution. Read your state legislations. Read your city's code and regulations. You should get the answer. Another fast way is to contact your local prescient/police station and ask them about it. Peace,
What law are you looking for? You want US FEDERAL CODE - here it is: http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/ You want STATE CODES - here they are: http://www.findlaw.com/casecode/ In addition, nearly every state posts their laws on .gov websites. Want New York state law: http://public.leginfo.state.ny.us/menugetf.cgi?COMMONQUERY=LAWS You want local laws: Los Angeles Municipal Code: (I just searched "los angeles municipal code" in google) http://municipalcodes.lexisnexis.com/codes/lacounty/ http://www.lacity.org/lacity102.htm http://www.amlegal.com/los_angeles_ca/ Anyway, as I said, they are all there and easy to find. If you don't know where to start, I suggest Findlaw. What exactly have you actually looked for that you could not find? Sounds like you are just complaining rather than looking. p.s. Many of these sites are current with the law as of August 3, 2008.
I'm only visiting, you're on my ignore list (no hard feelings), but I am posting this for the benefit of all. Take it as you will. "Don't Talk to the Police" by Professor James Duane ~~~~~~ "Don't Talk to the Police" by Officer George Bruch
