    Hello everybody,

I would be much obliged to anyone who can post a link to the Law on e-commerce of the US, EU, China, Japan and etc.

I'm doing a research on legal problems of implementation of the law on e-commerce in developing countries and I believe that comparative learning of legal norms of different countries would be a fundamental stuff.

If you have any suggestions, advices and recommendations feel free to post them here.

    Thank you,
    Have a good day.

There isn't just one law, there are many laws - many that affect all businesses both online and off. If you click on the links on the site I linked to there are explanations as to how the laws specifically apply to online businesses.

Two laws that are specific to e-commerce are the CAN-SPAM act that has rules for e-mail marketing and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act or COPPA (also linked from that page).

Here are a few more links that discuss US e-commerce law:
    http://www.phillipsnizer.com/internetlib.htm
    http://blog.ericgoldman.org/
    http://www.bakernet.com/ecommerce/

In the U.S. the law is interpreted by the courts, and e-commerce is so new the interpretation by the courts still being developed. The law is not static - there are cases going on right now that will probably set new precedents for the future.

Also, there are state laws in addition to the federal laws. Doing e-commerce in California may fall under different regulations than doing e-commerce in Florida.

Is there something specific you were looking for?
