Launching Product and Finding Affiliates: A Guide

    Hey everyone.

I have recently become fairly active in the forum and I realize I have been bugging some of the boards by just asking some pretty basic questions.

I'm looking to put together a few CPA campaigns but know nothing about the details and don't have any contacts with any affiliates in that world.

I do however know a little about clickbank, launching products and finding some affiliates. A marketer Willie Crawford recently did an hour long talk on his online radio show about launching a clickbank product and getting affiliates (mainly super affiliates) to work with you. It prompted me to share some of my thoughts and experiences. I decided to give it back here since I am yet to add value to the forum.

    A Big Launch Strategy
First of all you have to know that the big guys who are at the top of the product charts are there today because they work with each other, co-ordinate their efforts and have been doing this for a while. It's difficult to compete with them. If you want to do a BIG launch though, it's really useful to get them onboard.

If it were me, I'd target a few of the top boys. I'd only look to get ONE to promote my product. I'd list the top 10 people I'd love to work with and then contact each one individually one at a time. I'd try and get their mailing address if possible and use that. Possibly even mail them the product too.

As soon as I reach a guy who says yes, I stop looking for other big players and concentrate on th super affiliate I said yes. I would give them a bunch of custom, totally unique, quality free content that they could give to their list, and promise them that they were the only super-affiliate who would be doing a mail-out.

I would do this because it shows the person I am eager and keen to work with them and deliver. They will want great unique custom content for their list. The kind of content which other people are not mailing to their list. It sets them apart from their rivals. And because they are the only one mailing out about the product, it means less competition for them, and more chance people will buy using their link. This will motivate them to work a little harder.

Customers won'tbe angry either because they won't be getting he same template email from all the super affiliates out there with massive lists (most of which they are on). The customer will think they are getting a really exclusive deal this way.

This is a great way to launch a product and can provide great results. It can also help establish a healthy, excellent working relationship with the marketer who mails out to ther list and THAT can be invaluable. It can also help you in building a list and that is the foundation to building a solid business!

    Boosting A Product

I quite like the strategy of having a few products out at the same time earning residual income over the course of the year. Its a nice drip feed of money to fall back on when you need some extra cash etc. The following strategy could be used for this sort of business model or it could be used for boosting a product's sales.

This relies on getting a number of medium level of affiliates to promote your product. The technique and principle is simple. All you have to do is think is "If I were an affiliate not relying on the size of my list to promote a product, where would I go?"

Basically you have to work out where affiliates are promoting products, go there, find them and then right them a personal message.

One example of how I did this was to do a search on ezinearticles and youtube for a popular clickbank product and found all the people publishing reviews and material on the product. I found their affiliate links and then got their contact details.

I emailed each one individually and mentioned how I found them, what I liked about their article/video (makes it more personal) and why I wanted to work with them. This takes a bit more time but it helps to build a relationship which motivates them to work for you. For those new to it all as well, I gave them a bit of help, training and guidance as well for free. In exchange they almost feel obligated to push your product.

The key to this is searching out affiliates and establishing a relationship. Just think of how affiliates promote products.

You can also use tools like keywordspy or spyfu (I think thats what its called) to do all this.

So there is two methods for increasing sales to any of your products. It doesn't matter if they are on clickbank or not, as long as you have an affiliate program running, there is no stopping you!

Good luck and have a profitable day!
