I am planning to launch my new ecommerce site by Dec 28, 2013. I have to advertise it to people to create brand awareness. I have listed my site in press release and also advertised using social media. The next step i have been planning is to do guest blogging. How to find guest blogs and bloggers to advertise my ecommerce site. Can some one help in finding guest blogs and Indian bloggers?

Relevance is key here, not for linking, but for gaining a following.
Think about what you're selling and who the buyers are. Where do they go and what interests them?
Guest blogging on a site about technology when you sell baby clothes is pointless, while promoting your business selling camping equipment is great on a blog about rock climbing. Think about the kinds of people your are looking for, and the other things they are more likely to be interested in.

    Hi Georgia,

Hope your store's launch went well! You're absolutely on the right track with the things you've been doing so far. When advertising and marketing budgets aren't HUGE, it's actually pretty easy to get creative and drum up a good amount of publicity and authority that way.

In terms of cost effectiveness, your blogging idea is a an absolutely wonderful start. Make sure it's attached to your actual website (ie, blog.yourwebsite.com) -- this is important for a couple of reasons. Chief among them is the fact that as you add more and more content to your blog, you'll be adding more and more valuable content to your site -- this helps it rise in the rankings.

Another huge boon for search rankings is Google+. There's a program called Google Authorship -- it will link your Google+ profile to your blog entries, which is another way you can make sure to rise in the Google search results. (Over the course of the last year, Google has been steadily updating its algorithms to favor websites that are consistently publishing valuable, relevant content.)

From a publishing perspective, it's smart to write to your audience. What do THEY want to read about? Consider your niche, and think about what the people who would buy from your store might be interested in. For instance, if you're selling books, it's obviously smart to write a post here and there about what kind of new selections you're offering and so forth. When you're not doing that, though, it's smart to post about author news, information from the literary world, and other information that bookreaders would find interesting. This helps you generate serious goodwill, and makes your store/blog a destination for people all the time. This helps basically keep your site in the back of everyone's mind all the time. What's more is that it's pretty cost-effective to do. All you need is time and a bit of creativity. What's more is that when your blog has good content on it, you have a much easier time finding other blogs within your niche that will be ready and excited about swapping posts, trading links, and more.

Hope this helps! I could go on, but I thought I'd try to keep it at least a LITTLE specific. You're more than welcome to PM me if you want to talk further about this, or if you've got any questions. Happy new year!!
