I have submitted 2 of my websites ( the ones from my signature ).

Good luck with your new directory. I have planned it for review in 2-3 months when you'll have more listings.

    That's a familiar looking script.

My advice is be careful as copying business ideas nearly always fails. You will likely become another statistic on the web and:

    http://www.shepmedia.com/Paul'sCorner/a-big-fat-failure.html

Being unique is the only way to go - do not set yourself up as another failed directory. You want something you can be proud of, and if you don't have the money to invest in such a project, give up now - or you will lose much.

You'll find every sector is saturated and now the way forward is to think of a new service that solves a problem or makes life easier for people.

The trick is to invent a unique service - that's the secret of success. You need to brainstorm, nobody will do this for you!

The money is in information, and set it up as a service.

You can read suggestions about directories I give in general here:

8 Reasons Why You Should Not Start A Directory
    How Directories Make Money Online
Top 7 Reasons Why New Directories Fail

Check out Introduction Category on Directory Kit, as well as its Sitemap for more information.

About your directory: since it looks like other thousands of them, I think the best thing you should do is remove adsense since I don't think it gives you much money. You make money from directories by selling links and seo not traffic...

You won't make much money from a directory:

    Market is flooded
    Can't win with SEO alone
    Too much competition
Promotional efforts are too low key
Many now avoid directories and linking with them
People see the crap directories and laugh at them
Spamming the forums with links shows desperation
Insulting members won't make directory owners any sales
Few have the sales skills to pull this off
Real visitors won't even visit them, never mind use them
The majority are full of empty categories and broken links
The use of cheap gimmicks is off-putting to searchers & buyers
Nothing original in a cheap script

Be original at least, and that's only the start of things which won't make anybody rich. Directories are hard work for little financial reward, and I categorically do not recommend directories as a first business -there are too many pitfalls to the model to mention.

Like I keep saying, there are easier ways to make money on the web.
